Question best small truck for snow plowing?
what is the best small truck for plowing, was thinking a jeep or trailblazer with a myers plow, I only plow one lot and couple of driveways in buffalo new york. does anyone have this setup and are you happy with it?

Best Answer I suspect that Buffalo gets plenty of snow. I had a Chev Blazer (full size) with a Meyers plow and quite often the Blazer wasn't heavy enough to move a foot and a half or two of feet of wet snow, and was pretty helpless later on in the season when the snow had to be piled a bit. The Meyers plow is a good idea but from my experience I would recommend a half or three quarter ton pickup that you can throw a bit of weight in when you need it.
Question how to fill the snow plow on my truck?
I am having a problem with my plow it first wouldn't turn to the left unless I unconnected a fluid hose then reconnected finally that didn't work and now it won't do anything even lift the plow up. I would like to fill the fluid to see if that solves my problems but have no idea where to fill it or how much to fill it. There is no name on it or anything so just general directions i'll figure the rest out i took the top piece off it and found the resevoir i can see it its a huge resevoir and something in the middle of it. It's maybe less then a quarter but im not sure how full it should be?

Best Answer Udually there is a small plug on the top of the hydraulic lift cylinder, take it out and the oil level should be about 1 1/2 inch below the top.. go to this link: http://www.meyerproducts.com/service/parts_service.asp and click on one of the service manuals..the first one is quite common, scroll down a few pages and they show the fill plug, drain plug, filter locations and solenoids...and how to replace them. This is a "Meyers" plow....I am sure "Western" has a similar website, they are two most common brands out there.
